Description

  • Translate and copy edit content for marketing and life sciences subject areas, including investigator-facing, patient-facing, pharmacy, help, and UI materials.
  • Collaborate with the freelance language team on multiple accounts and programs.
  • Deliver work as part of Welocalize’s multilingual translation, localization, and adaptation services.
  • Use translation and localization workflows and tools to complete assigned linguistic tasks.
  • Perform work remotely for global clients across different markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in translating and copy editing content in the specified subject matter areas or verticals.
  • Professional-level understanding of English (US/GB).
  • Native-level expertise in Amharic as the target language with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Experience using CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Translation degree preferred, or 3 years of translation experience if holding another degree, or 5 years of translation experience if no degree.
  • Experience with investigator-facing, patient-facing, pharmacy, marketing, help, and UI content is desirable.
