Description

  • Translate and edit clinical and life sciences content from English into Taiwan Traditional Chinese.
  • Perform copy editing, machine translation post-editing (MTPE), linguistic review, and LQA tasks.
  • Maintain the original meaning while making content readable and understandable for the target audience.
  • Work across content types including investigator-facing, patient-facing, legal, pharmacy, scientific publications, in vitro diagnostics, and medical devices.
  • Collaborate on an ongoing freelance basis with weekly project assignments based on availability.
  • Use the Phase/XTM CAT tool for assigned translation work.
  • Apply Track Changes in Word when editing and proofreading content.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience translating and editing in the specified subject matter.
  • Experience translating documents for clinical research and clinical trials.
  • Proficiency across investigator-facing, patient-facing, legal, pharmacy, scientific publications, in vitro diagnostics, and medical devices content.
  • Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to both translate and copy edit.
  • Proficiency with Track Changes in Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to communicate the rationale behind translation choices.
  • Experience with Phase/XTM is preferred, with credentials provided at no cost.
  • Freelance/independent contractor availability for ongoing remote work, with no minimum volume requirement.
