Description

  • Translate patent documents from English into Japanese while preserving the original meaning.
  • Produce translations that are readable and understandable for the target audience.
  • Handle patent materials across multiple technical domains, including biology, chemistry, pharmacy, IT, and mechanics.
  • Work on a weekly volume of more than 5,000 words.
  • Start the assignment as soon as possible.
  • Communicate promptly by email regarding project matters.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in Japanese.
  • Strong experience translating patents in fields such as biology, chemistry, pharmacy, IT, and mechanics.
  • At least 2 years of experience in patent translation.
  • Experience using CAT tools such as XTM and Trados.
  • Ability to work remotely from Japan, China, Canada, or globally.
  • Prompt email responsiveness.
  • A CV must be submitted with the application.
