Description

Translate and copy edit content in the assigned subject areas and verticals.
Work on investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy materials.
Localize marketing, help, and UI content for Somali-speaking audiences.
Collaborate with the freelance language expert team across multiple accounts and programs.
Use CAT tools and localization platforms to support translation workflows.
Perform quality checks and ensure content accuracy and consistency.
Apply understanding of cultural nuances to target-language content.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in translating or copy editing content in the relevant subject matter areas or verticals.
Professional-level understanding of English (US/GB).
Native-level expertise in Somali with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
Experience using CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Word and MS Excel.
Translation degree, or 3 years of translation experience if holding another degree, or 5 years of translation experience if no degree.
Ability to work remotely from anywhere worldwide.
Experience supporting marketing and life sciences content is required.
Freelance availability to collaborate on multiple accounts and programs.
