Description

  • Manage patient registration, scheduling, appointment coordination, intake, referral, and insurance verification processes.
  • Initiate, submit, and monitor prior authorization requests and coordinate approvals with providers and payers.
  • Submit insurance claims, track claim status, manage denials and appeals, and handle accounts receivable follow-up.
  • Process ERA, post payments, reconcile remittances with clinical charges, and support financial reporting.
  • Manage provider credentialing, provider enrollment, and payer configuration and maintenance.
  • Handle provider and member services, appeals, and grievance processes.
  • Administer medical records and release-of-information requests.
  • Support daily medical office and practice administration activities.
  • Document, evaluate, and explain operational workflows for AI system development.
  • Ensure operational documentation and processes remain compliant with organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a healthcare administrative or back-office operations role.
  • Current employment in a healthcare administrative environment.
  • Working knowledge of payer portals such as Availity, Optum/Change Healthcare, Waystar, Office Ally, UHC Link, BCBS, or Aetna.
  • Experience with EHR and Practice Management systems.
  • Experience with healthcare clearinghouse platforms.
  • Based in the United States.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately document and explain operational workflows.
  • Experience in practice administration, revenue cycle, patient access, prior authorization, claims resolution, credentialing, payer operations, appeals and grievances, or HIM is preferred.
  • This opportunity is focused on healthcare administrative and operational expertise rather than medical coding or direct clinical care experience.
