Description

  • Interpret live phone conversations between English and Mandarin speakers across multiple domains (customer service, healthcare & insurance, government & utilities, travel-related matters).
  • Handle emergency service calls, including 911/emergency-related interpretation, with appropriate urgency and accuracy.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely interpretation during inbound and outbound calls while adhering to call protocols and confidentiality requirements.
  • Work scheduled night shifts (start times between 8 PM–12 AM) and follow rotation cycles every three months.
  • Cover assigned shifts including public holidays as required by a 24/7 operation.
  • Maintain a quiet, secure home workspace and ensure reliable devices and connectivity for remote interpreting.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing).
  • Fluent in Mandarin (reading, speaking, writing).
  • Must be located in Malaysia.
  • Willing and available to work night shifts with rotational schedules and public-holiday coverage.
  • Own a smartphone (Android 12+ / iOS 15+) or a laptop with an updated operating system.
  • Ability to work a standard schedule of 8 hours/day (+1-hour break) and 40 hours/week.

  • Hourly rate: RM30 per hour.
  • SOCSO and EPF contributions (Malaysia).
