Description

  • Own the brief-to-delivery design process by clarifying stakeholder requests, resolving ambiguity, and confirming deliverables and success criteria.
  • Deliver high-quality UI on agreed timelines and communicate schedule risks clearly and promptly.
  • Work within and extend the shared Figma design system using strict tokens, variables, rules, and naming conventions.
  • Create and maintain reusable components using atomic design principles to keep the system scalable and consistent.
  • Partner with front-end developers on developer-ready handoffs covering interactions, edge cases, and responsive behavior.
  • Participate in QA to verify that implementation matches design intent.
  • Identify gaps and inconsistencies in the design system and propose improvements.
  • Self-review work, lead design critiques, and iterate quickly with a constructive approach.
  • Design complex trading UI including trade tickets, charting interfaces, order management systems, and other real-time financial screens.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering production-ready UI reliably, to brief, and on time.
  • Deep proficiency in Figma, including design systems, components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, and developer handoff.
  • Strong working knowledge of atomic design methodology.
  • Experience designing and launching app-based and web-based financial products.
  • Experience working with remote development teams and producing spec-quality handoffs.
  • Track record of using customer feedback, analytics tools such as HotJar and Amplitude, and competitor insight in design decisions.
  • Experience validating and refining designs through A/B testing and prototyping.
  • Genuine focus on designing simplicity for complex or regulated products.
  • Experience designing trading platforms or other tightly regulated financial products, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS sufficient to communicate accurately with developers, preferred.
  • Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools, preferred.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted design tools such as Figma Make or Claude, preferred.
