Description

Own financial reporting, ledgers, month-end and year-end close, cash flow, budgeting, ad hoc reports, and financial models.
Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team while balancing hands-on ownership with delegation.
Oversee accounts payable and payroll operations.
Monitor cash position and upcoming outflows, and coordinate with banking partners.
Build and deploy internal finance tools, including dashboards, automations, web applications, and data pipelines.
Partner with the Finance Transformation Manager to support strategic and high-level business decisions.
Serve as the primary accountability owner for the accounting function as it scales.
Report to the Finance Transformation Manager and collaborate with the Controller as a peer.

Requirements

Hands-on technical accounting experience covering ledgers, close, tax, accounts payable, and payroll.
Proven experience managing and developing a small accounting team.
Demonstrated ability to independently build and deploy finance tools, dashboards, or automations using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Copilot Pro.
Portfolio or code sample demonstrating finance-tool development experience.
Experience with US accounting practices and US-based companies.
Comfort with payment authority and associated financial controls.
Experience working with global, distributed, and culturally diverse teams.
Fluent written and spoken English with a high degree of autonomy.
LATAM-based candidates preferred.
Availability to support US Eastern Time working hours.
