Description

Own financial reporting, ledgers, month-end and year-end close, cash flow, budgeting, ad hoc reports, and financial models.
Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team while balancing hands-on ownership with delegation.
Oversee accounts payable and payroll operations.
Monitor cash positions and upcoming outflows, and coordinate with banking partners.
Build and deploy internal finance tools, including dashboards, automations, web applications, and data pipelines.
Partner with the Finance Transformation Manager and Controller to support strategic and operational decisions.
Serve as the primary accountability owner for the accounting function as it scales.
Maintain tax-compliance oversight and payment controls.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with technical accounting, including ledgers, close, tax, accounts payable, and payroll.
Experience managing and developing a small accounting team.
Demonstrated ability to independently build and deploy finance tools, dashboards, or automations using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Copilot Pro; portfolio or code sample required.
Experience with US accounting practices and US-based companies.
Ability to hold release-level payment authority and manage related controls.
Experience working with global, distributed, and culturally diverse teams.
Fluent written and spoken English with a high degree of autonomy.
Availability to support US Eastern Time working hours.
LATAM-based candidates preferred.
Full-time independent contractor availability.
