Description

  • Model a wide range of 3D assets, including characters, vehicles, props, and full environments.
  • Take assets from concept and blockout through final, in-engine delivery.
  • Create clean topology, UVs, and textures optimized for Roblox.
  • Ensure assets are performance-friendly for streaming and gameplay across devices.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Game Designers to maintain style and quality consistency.
  • Interpret client briefs and incorporate stakeholder feedback into the work.
  • Participate in reviews, brainstorming sessions, and rapid iteration cycles.
  • Own your workload and deliver assets with minimal oversight at pace.
  • Stay current on modeling techniques, tools, and styles in UGC gaming.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling for games, interactive media, or real-time production.
  • A strong portfolio showing both realistic and stylized work.
  • Portfolio experience with at least two of the following: characters, vehicles, or environments.
  • Proficiency with Roblox Studio and building workflows.
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques such as StreamingEnabled and low-poly design.
  • Experience with Blender, Maya, or equivalent 3D software.
  • Ability to export FBX files compatible with Roblox.
  • Solid understanding of topology, UVs, lighting, composition, and layout.
  • Ability to troubleshoot integration and performance issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and meetings.
  • Availability during PST core hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM.
  • Nice to have: experience with Substance Painter or Designer.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with lighting techniques for cinematic environments.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of avatar rigging or custom character controllers in Roblox.
  • Nice to have: prior experience creating plugins or custom tools for Roblox development.
  • Nice to have: understanding of Unity or Unreal.
