Description

  • Analyze customer behavior, website analytics, session recordings, and performance data to identify conversion barriers and revenue opportunities.
  • Develop UX hypotheses and recommendations to improve conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, and other eCommerce KPIs.
  • Design conversion-focused user experiences and interfaces in Figma that are ready for developer implementation.
  • Optimize key eCommerce journeys including navigation, search, category pages, product pages, cart, checkout, calls to action, and product discovery.
  • Partner with developers and the A/B testing team to turn UX hypotheses into measurable experiments.
  • Design A/B and multivariate test variations and iterate based on quantitative results and customer behavior.
  • Use analytics and behavioral tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Hotjar to inform design decisions.
  • Evaluate experiment results and turn findings into actionable optimization recommendations.
  • Maintain a professional, polished, trustworthy experience and consistency across design systems, components, layouts, and interactions.
  • Work independently to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities and stay current on eCommerce UX and CRO best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional UX/UI or Product Design experience, with significant experience designing for high-traffic eCommerce websites.
  • Proven success improving conversion rate, revenue, revenue per visitor, average order value, or other commercial KPIs.
  • Strong portfolio showing personal contribution, design process, experimentation approach, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma or comparable web-based design and prototyping tools.
  • Hands-on experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing, experimentation, and usability optimization.
  • Experience with Google Analytics/GA4, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, Optimizely, VWO, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce customer journeys, including product discovery, navigation, search, PDPs, cart, checkout, and conversion funnels.
  • Ability to translate data, customer behavior, and business goals into UX recommendations and design solutions.
  • Experience working closely with developers to ensure technically feasible and accurately implemented designs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard for visual quality, consistency, organization, and documentation.
  • Highly self-directed and comfortable proactively identifying opportunities and owning results.
  • Experience optimizing large-scale or high-revenue eCommerce platforms (required skill).
  • Experience with B2B eCommerce or complex product catalogs (required skill).
  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify (required skill).
  • Experience demonstrating incremental revenue or conversion growth attributable to UX/CRO work you personally designed (required skill).
  • Experience working in a rapid experimentation environment with frequent A/B testing and iterative releases (required skill).
  • Remote, part-time freelance availability in the United States, with sufficient availability during U.S. business hours.
