Description

  • Act as lead legal advisor to the CEO and executive team during the interim engagement.
  • Serve as thought partner and lead negotiator for complex enterprise deals with sales, customer success, and finance.
  • Support pricing and packaging decisions for complex SaaS contracts with the CFO and commercial leaders.
  • Participate in board meetings and advise the Board of Directors and its committees as requested.
  • Advise on corporate governance, legal documentation, and compliance programs including HITRUST and SOC 2.
  • Lead and develop a small legal and compliance team as a hands-on working leader.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate legal, contracting, drafting, and research work.

Requirements

  • Head of Legal or comparable senior in-house legal experience.
  • Deep commercial and enterprise contracting experience, including negotiating complex enterprise deals in a highly regulated environment.
  • Hands-on execution orientation and comfort operating without a large team.
  • Demonstrated strategic problem-solving in real business situations.
  • Business-minded judgment to balance legal risk against commercial goals.
  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI tools such as Claude for legal work.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • Regulatory and healthcare SaaS experience preferred.
  • Experience identifying business opportunities connected to regulatory change preferred.
  • Experience at a venture-backed or private equity-backed company preferred.
  • Experience across healthcare verticals such as provider, payer, and/or life sciences preferred.
  • Required experience with contract lifecycle management and e-signature tools such as LinkSquares, Docusign, or Salesforce.
  • Preferred experience using AI tools like Claude for contract review, drafting, and research.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside and work in the continental U.S.
