Description

  • Verify service records, including addresses, hours, contact details, costs, insurance, and data-model tags.
  • Assess services against Clinical Advisory Committee screening criteria and cite supporting evidence.
  • Research and identify new mental health services as the directory expands into additional locations.
  • Document services that do not fit the data model and explain the discrepancies.
  • Contact organizations to obtain and confirm accurate service information.
  • Coordinate approximately 20 hours per week with the Services Research Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting accurate, source-cited research, such as in resource directories, fact-checking, civic data, or library work.
  • Comfort contacting unfamiliar organizations and obtaining clear answers.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and identify cases that do not fit established criteria.
  • Strong spreadsheet organization and attention to detail.
  • Comfort using AI tools and verifying their outputs before relying on them.
  • Commitment to accuracy and sensitivity toward people seeking mental health support.
  • Based in the United States; Los Angeles is preferred.
  • Spanish or another language besides English is preferred.
  • Training in social work, counseling, or public health, or experience working in mental health services, is preferred.
  • Availability for an initial 90-day contract, with potential extension.

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation of $25–$40, depending on experience.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule set with the Services Research Manager.
  • Initial 90-day contract with the possibility of extension as new locations are added.
  • Paid work sample as part of the interview process.
