Description

  • Perform developer support tasks for the assigned department or area.
  • Provide preventive testing support for developer workflows, tools, and testbeds.
  • Execute high-level scripted and exploratory test coverage on assigned projects.
  • Report, research, confirm, and help resolve issues found during testing.
  • Perform specialized testing and support requests for the assigned area of focus.
  • Maintain knowledge of project design and scheduling changes to improve QA effectiveness and reporting.
  • Assist with project database management for assigned titles.
  • Help plan, task, and execute operational testing for assigned projects.
  • Support operational reporting and day-to-day communication.
  • Update test plans and incorporate them into the software testing process.
  • Assist with QA administrative and support requests.
  • Collaborate across internal and external development teams to help drive projects to completion.
  • Diagnose errors and breakdowns in the development pipeline and provide technical support as needed.
  • Continuously improve QA skills by staying current on industry trends and techniques.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a test, analyst, or equivalent role.
  • Successful shipping of at least 2 global, large-scale titles on current-generation PlayStation platforms.
  • Experience with Maya software and toolsets.
  • Excellent technical learning agility.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent gameplay skills.
  • Strong critical analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with current-generation PlayStation platforms and peripherals.
  • Experience in quality assurance or quality control testing.
  • Experience with foundation-level testing techniques.
  • Experience with JIRA database and add-on systems.
  • Proficiency in test case design and traditional QA/QC methods.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Communications, Project Management, Business Intelligence, or a QA-related field is preferred.
  • ISQTB® Foundation Level CTAL certification or equivalent completion and application is preferred.
