Description

  • Build and maintain low-latency APIs and distributed microservices for identity, authorization, user profiles, settings, and product configurations.
  • Implement and maintain reliable data pipelines for audit logs and BI data exports.
  • Improve existing features in response to user feedback and changing product requirements.
  • Promote engineering best practices such as structured logging, request tracking, and robust error handling.
  • Contribute to production observability through alerting, dashboards, and runbooks.
  • Build internal tooling that reduces manual operational work for engineering teams and supports customer self-service.
  • Participate in requirement discussions with Product, implement features end to end, and monitor them in production.
  • Work to make complex distributed systems more scalable and easier to operate over time.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience building backend systems in an enterprise environment.
  • 1+ years of experience programming in Python or Scala.
  • Solid understanding of microservices and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
  • Familiarity with databases, caching strategies, and low-latency service design.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs with attention to reliability and client experience.
  • Exposure to data synchronization patterns and high-consistency data pipeline design.
  • Ability to navigate and contribute to an unfamiliar codebase with guidance and make incremental improvements.
  • Appreciation for automation and reducing manual operational toil.
  • Experience with Spark or big data processing is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to participate meaningfully in product and engineering discussions.
