Description

  • Deliver end-to-end backend features from technical breakdown through production deployment.
  • Design solutions within the existing microservices architecture and involve Senior developers for cross-module decisions.
  • Build and operate systems addressing concurrency, high traffic, and availability requirements.
  • Co-own service health through testing, observability, and production incident resolution.
  • Use AI coding tools while maintaining responsibility for code correctness, security, and performance.
  • Review pull requests and provide informal mentorship through pairing and code review feedback.
  • Break down work, estimate effort, and deliver commitments within an autonomous product team.
  • Share effective AI prompts, workflows, patterns, and pitfalls with the team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional Go experience, or 3+ years of backend experience including at least 1 year with Go.
  • Ability to evaluate architectural designs, make sound module-level decisions, and recognize when to involve a Senior developer.
  • Practical experience with concurrent and event-driven systems, including goroutines, channels, race conditions, retries, and idempotency.
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems and cloud computing principles.
  • Experience building microservices with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB.
  • Familiarity with API design patterns including gRPC or GraphQL.
  • Experience operating production code on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Comfort with Docker; Terraform knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests, plus familiarity with Agile practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, including reviewing output for correctness, security, concurrency, performance, licensing, and data privacy.
  • Experience with agentic workflows, MCP servers, or internal AI tooling is preferred.
  • Interest in esports or traditional sports is a plus.
