Description

  • Provide hands-on on-site support to installers during first setups, live installs, and troubleshooting.
  • Help installers understand Tenant Power design, kit requirements, meter setups, and sign-off criteria.
  • Collaborate with the OE Homes Delivery team to improve site-ready guides and installation instructions.
  • Make sure technical requirements, approved kit lists, and platform guides are clearly understood before installation starts.
  • Observe installations to identify what works well and what causes delays, missing data, or go-live issues.
  • Capture common questions, recurring problems, and confusing instructions and feed them back to design, training, standards, data, and delivery teams.
  • Use on-site knowledge to prioritize properties or batches that are ready to transition to live operation.
  • Coach independent installers on Octopus standards and design intent.
  • Act as the connector between housing associations, installers, supply chain, data, and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting or delivering domestic solar PV and battery storage installations.
  • Practical experience with battery commissioning, inverter setup, export settings, and monitoring platforms.
  • Relevant electrical background or qualification.
  • Current BS 7671 / 18th Edition knowledge or competence.
  • Ability to read approved designs, schematics, Bills of Materials, and platform-specific installation guidance.
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills and ability to turn site issues into clear feedback.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK, including overnight stays where required.
