Description

Build bots for messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, and similar services.
Design and implement conversational flows, dialogue state, and fallback handling.
Integrate bots with LLMs such as OpenAI or Anthropic when natural language responses are needed.
Connect bots to backend services, databases, CRMs, and third-party APIs.
Handle webhooks, rate limits, and platform-specific message formats including buttons, media, and templates.
Review, debug, optimize, and refactor bot implementations for correctness, reliability, and maintainability.
Implement logging, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms to keep bots healthy in production.

Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience in backend, integration, automation, or bot development.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience building bots for a major messaging platform such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or Slack.
Strong command of Python or Node.js for backend bot logic.
Solid experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and async request handling.
Experience with relational or NoSQL databases for storing conversation state and user data.
Familiarity with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic and prompt design is a strong plus.
Understanding of platform-specific limits, message templates, and approval flows such as WhatsApp template messages.
Experience with hosting and deployment tools or environments such as Docker, serverless, VPS, or PaaS.
Portfolio or examples of bots built, required.
English proficiency at Upper-intermediate (B2) or above, required.
