Description

  • Conduct generative research and share findings with project teams and clients.
  • Moderate workshops and Design Thinking activities.
  • Create personas, user journey maps, workflow diagrams, wireframes, site maps, and prototypes.
  • Perform usability testing, design documentation, and iterative design refinement.
  • Design high-fidelity UX/UI for web and native mobile applications.
  • Advocate for human-centered computing and visual design principles throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Audit existing experiences and recommend accessibility or usability fixes, including 508/WCAG compliance.
  • Explain and defend design decisions to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor other designers and team members when needed.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, data analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders in an agile environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in research, UX/UI design, and digital product design preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX, HCI, Information Architecture, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Proven record of helping businesses and users succeed with digital products.
  • Experience developing research and user experience design strategies, including interviews, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Experience creating design systems.
  • Experience designing high-quality UI for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience advising product teams on design strategy for large agile projects.
  • Clear, concise, accurate, and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work creatively within project constraints and manage competing priorities and overlapping deadlines.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Figma, UserZoomGo, Miro, and Condens, and with platforms/frameworks like Drupal, WordPress, iOS, and Android.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment with close collaboration across technical and business teams.
  • Fully remote position with occasional domestic travel for major client milestones.

  • Hourly compensation of $60.00 - $70.00 USD based on experience and other factors.
