Description

  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on requirements, user stories, technical documentation, and design specifications.
  • Perform functional, regression, usability, exploratory, and user interface testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Validate application functionality, design, and usability against documented requirements and best practices.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and verify software defects using Jira and TestRail.
  • Work with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and confirm defects are resolved before release.
  • Communicate testing progress, results, risks, and release readiness to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Test applications across supported browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.
  • Recommend product improvements and usability enhancements when appropriate.
  • Balance testing across multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Participate in Agile planning, sprint activities, and QA process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Remote role with working hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm EST, 20 - 40 hours per week.
  • Available July through December with potential to extend.
  • High school diploma plus at least 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, software development, or a related technical field, or an associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related discipline.
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications.
  • Experience testing on iOS and Android devices.
  • Experience using Jira and TestRail or similar defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; familiarity with Waterfall methodologies is a plus.

Benefits

  • $50.00 - $60.00 USD per hour compensation.
  • Base compensation is determined by skills, education, certifications, geographic location, and relevant experience.
  • Remote work arrangement.
