Description

Lead the development of K-6 mathematics textbook content aligned to the Victorian Curriculum from planning through completion.
Oversee content creation workflows and coordinate work with internal team members.
Review content thoroughly to ensure alignment with Victorian Curriculum content descriptions, achievement standards, and proficiency strands.
Provide clear, specific, and actionable feedback to support precise edits and high-quality output.
Champion the use of AI tools throughout the content development process to improve productivity and quality.
Identify opportunities to integrate new AI capabilities and continuously improve team workflows.
Ensure consistency in pedagogical approach, mathematical rigour, and developmental progression across all materials.

Requirements

Extensive experience teaching primary mathematics (K-6) in Victorian schools.
Deep understanding of the Victorian Curriculum: Mathematics, including content descriptions, achievement standards, and the proficiency strands: Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving, and Reasoning.
Familiarity with Victorian Curriculum 2.0 updates.
Strong familiarity with current AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, with enthusiasm for using them to enhance productivity.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide clear, specific feedback on content.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
Experience in project management, publishing, or educational content development is preferred.
Familiarity with primary mathematics curricula in other Australian states, such as the NSW Syllabus or Australian Curriculum, is preferred.
Experience with digital learning platforms or ed-tech environments is preferred.
Experience with LaTeX or mathematical typesetting is preferred.
Basic understanding of coding is preferred.
