Description

Lead the development of K–6 mathematics textbook content aligned to the Australian Curriculum (Version 9.0) from planning through completion.
Oversee content creation workflows and coordinate work with internal team members.
Review content to ensure alignment with curriculum content descriptions, achievement standards, and mathematical proficiencies.
Provide specific, actionable feedback so the internal team can make precise edits and maintain quality standards.
Champion the use of AI tools throughout the content development process to improve productivity and quality.
Identify and implement opportunities to integrate new AI capabilities into team processes and workflows.
Ensure consistency in pedagogical approach, mathematical rigour, and year-level progression across all materials.

Requirements

Extensive experience teaching primary mathematics (K–6) in Australian schools.
Deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics (Version 9.0), including content descriptions, achievement standards, and the proficiency strands.
Familiarity with implementing the Version 9.0 curriculum changes.
Strong familiarity with current AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
Genuine enthusiasm for using AI tools to enhance productivity.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide clear, specific feedback on content.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
Experience in project management, publishing, or educational content development is preferred.
Familiarity with state-specific primary mathematics syllabi such as the NSW K–6 Syllabus or Victorian Curriculum is preferred.
Experience with digital learning platforms or ed-tech environments is preferred.
Experience with LaTeX or mathematical typesetting is preferred.
Basic understanding of coding is preferred.
