Description

  • Lead the development of K–6 mathematics textbook content aligned to the Australian Curriculum (Version 9.0) from planning through completion.
  • Oversee content creation workflows and coordinate work with internal team members.
  • Review content to ensure alignment with curriculum content descriptions, achievement standards, and mathematical proficiencies.
  • Provide specific, actionable feedback so the internal team can make precise edits and maintain quality standards.
  • Champion the use of AI tools throughout the content development process to improve productivity and quality.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to integrate new AI capabilities into team processes and workflows.
  • Ensure consistency in pedagogical approach, mathematical rigour, and year-level progression across all materials.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience teaching primary mathematics (K–6) in Australian schools.
  • Deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics (Version 9.0), including content descriptions, achievement standards, and the proficiency strands.
  • Familiarity with implementing the Version 9.0 curriculum changes.
  • Strong familiarity with current AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for using AI tools to enhance productivity.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide clear, specific feedback on content.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Experience in project management, publishing, or educational content development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with state-specific primary mathematics syllabi such as the NSW K–6 Syllabus or Victorian Curriculum is preferred.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms or ed-tech environments is preferred.
  • Experience with LaTeX or mathematical typesetting is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of coding is preferred.
