Description

  • Translate and subtitle TV and movie content from English into Filipino/Tagalog.
  • Apply subtitling and audiovisual translation best practices to entertainment content.
  • Review and adapt subtitle and dub translations with attention to cultural nuance.
  • Use subtitle editing software and web/cloud tools to complete assigned work.
  • Adapt quickly to workflow and process changes across projects.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, organization, and quality control.
  • Handle multiple tasks and deadlines with problem-solving and analytical judgment.
  • Work remotely on a flexible freelance project basis.

Requirements

  • Native fluency in Filipino/Tagalog.
  • Extensive knowledge of English.
  • University degree or equivalent professional experience in translation.
  • Experience in at least one entertainment localization area, such as localization QC, audiovisual translation, or subtitling.
  • Deep understanding of subtitle and dub translation nuances.
  • Knowledge of cultural differences and best practices for subtitle and dub audio creation.
  • Understanding of closed captioning, subtitling, and common technical challenges.
  • Confidence using subtitle editing software and web/cloud technology.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to workflow and process changes.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking skills.
  • CV must be submitted in English with detailed subtitling experience.
  • Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before the recruitment process begins.
