Description

  • Translate video game content from English into Japanese for a variety of projects.
  • Work with materials from well-known gaming publishers in Japan and abroad.
  • Adjust workload and turnaround based on project length and personal availability.
  • Perform translation work remotely from home as a freelance contractor.
  • Participate in the translator pool and support ongoing project needs.
  • Apply MTPE workflows when required or relevant to assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Japanese as a mother tongue is mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of English is required.
  • Translation certificate and/or equivalent translation experience is required.
  • Passion for video games is required or strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of translation tools, or willingness to learn them, is required.
  • Interest in MTPE is required or preferred.
  • Passing the entry test is required.
  • Experience with video game translation is an advantage.
  • Ability to work as a freelance contractor from home is required.
