Description

  • Translate video game content from English into Japanese for localization projects.
  • Work on a variety of projects for well-known gaming publishers in Japan and abroad.
  • Handle project volumes and timelines flexibly based on availability.
  • Deliver translation work from home as an independent freelance contributor.
  • Collaborate on localization efforts that support a better player experience.
  • Complete the entry test required for consideration to the translator pool.

Requirements

  • Japanese as a mother tongue or native-level Japanese ability (mandatory).
  • Extensive knowledge of English.
  • Translation certificate and/or equivalent translation experience.
  • Translation experience.
  • Passion for or knowledge of video games.
  • Knowledge of translation tools or willingness to learn them.
  • Interest in MTPE (machine translation post-editing).
  • Ability to pass the entry test.
