Description

  • Translate architectural and business requirements into actionable technical tasks and own feature delivery through production deployment.
  • Build resilient, well-tested core services in Node.js for supply, scheduling, and fulfillment workflows.
  • Design and optimize MongoDB schemas for complex workflows, including indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party services such as payments, mapping/routing, SMS/notifications, and CRM platforms.
  • Contribute to frontend features in React, React Native, and Angular when full-stack work is needed.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and help define backend architecture standards.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with most experience in backend systems using Node.js in production.
  • Experience designing and versioning REST or GraphQL APIs used by multiple clients.
  • Strong MongoDB experience, including schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning at scale.
  • Proficiency with Angular, React, and React Native.
  • Working knowledge of GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, and Pub/Sub, or similar tools, for deployments and production debugging.
  • Direct experience building or scaling a two-sided marketplace, supply/demand matching engine, or fulfillment platform.
  • Familiarity with event-driven or queue-based architectures such as Pub/Sub.
  • Active use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • US timezone overlap with full CST overlap.
  • Startup or fast-growing company experience with a track record of balancing speed and long-term maintainability.
