Description

  • Architect, develop, and maintain Roku applications using BrightScript, SceneGraph, and modern Roku technologies.
  • Manage the full Roku application lifecycle, including builds, App Store submission, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Translate Figma designs into polished, high-quality user interfaces.
  • Build reusable SDK components and extensible application features.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver features on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for reliability and performance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable code with attention to edge cases and stability.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, platform tooling, and development best practices.
  • Stay current with OTT trends and emerging connected-TV technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of commercial Roku development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in BrightScript, SceneGraph, and modern Roku technologies.
  • Experience with Roku SDKs or general SDK development.
  • Experience managing Roku App Store build, submission, deployment, and release processes.
  • Experience building extensible, data-driven Roku applications.
  • Experience integrating REST, JSON-RPC, gRPC, WebSockets, or similar APIs.
  • Familiarity with Charles Proxy or comparable network debugging tools.
  • Understanding of monitoring, alerting, integration testing, and code coverage practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, platform tooling, large-scale OTT applications, connected-TV performance optimization, internal SDKs, analytics, video playback, or ad integrations preferred.
  • Availability for 6–7 hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time.
