Description

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple Australian business entities.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and expense records.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and supplier reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate, correctly categorised financial records.
  • Review accounting records to identify discrepancies or missing information.
  • Support GST tracking, BAS preparation, and other Australian bookkeeping requirements.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and bookkeeping summaries.
  • Maintain accounting systems in MYOB and Xero.
  • Improve bookkeeping processes and accounting workflows.
  • Coordinate with the business owner and external accountants as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Experience supporting Australian businesses.
  • Understanding of Australian bookkeeping requirements, including GST and BAS.
  • Hands-on MYOB experience; Xero experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ability to organise accounting records and improve existing processes.
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple business accounts.
