Description

  • Lead the technical strategy for WordPress security remediation and platform maintenance.
  • Upgrade and maintain WordPress core, themes, and plugins while preserving platform stability.
  • Identify, investigate, and remediate vulnerabilities found through security assessments and scanning tools.
  • Resolve critical and high-priority security issues across WordPress environments.
  • Review the existing architecture and recommend improvements for security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot complex WordPress issues and deliver long-term solutions.
  • Document remediation work, technical findings, and future security recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate risks, priorities, and implementation plans.
  • Ensure work follows WordPress security best practices and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with WordPress, including core architecture, customization, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience upgrading and maintaining secure WordPress environments.
  • Proven experience remediating vulnerabilities identified through security scans.
  • Deep knowledge of WordPress core, themes, third-party plugins, and their security implications.
  • Experience resolving critical and high-priority production security issues.
  • Ability to lead technical decisions and define architectural solutions.
  • Senior-level experience as a Technology Lead, WordPress Architect, or Senior WordPress Engineer.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Professional English proficiency and ability to collaborate effectively in global teams.

Benefits

  • Total contract hours: 120.
  • Hourly rate of $130–$150 CAD.
