Description

Review architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and consultant drawings for coordination issues, scope gaps, missing information, and constructability concerns.
Prepare trade-specific RFPs, bid packages, scope sheets, subcontract exhibits, and scope narratives.
Identify subcontractors and vendors, distribute bid packages, manage follow-ups, and track proposal completion.
Level subcontractor bids, reconcile exclusions and qualifications, and prepare award recommendations.
Validate construction costs using market research, historical pricing, material quotes, and subcontractor feedback.
Identify value-engineering opportunities that reduce cost or schedule risk while protecting quality and design intent.
Draft RFIs and coordinate questions with designers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and construction leadership.
Support budgets, procurement schedules, long-lead-item tracking, trade cost summaries, allowances, contingencies, and risk tracking.
Prepare organized project handoff packages containing scopes, drawings, assumptions, and decision history.
Support active projects with RFI, submittal, procurement, coordination, budget, change-order, meeting, closeout, and action-item logs.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in construction preconstruction, estimating, project engineering, or project management.
Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and trade sequencing.
Experience preparing bid packages, leveling proposals, identifying scope gaps, and drafting scope narratives.
Ability to review multiple drawing disciplines for coordination, completeness, constructability, and risk.
Strong written communication skills for RFIs, bid instructions, subcontractor correspondence, meeting notes, and leadership summaries.
Working knowledge of construction budgets, procurement, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change management, and documentation.
Ability to work independently and responsively in a remote environment.
7–10 years of construction experience with ownership of bid packages, scope development, budgeting, coordination, and project controls preferred.
Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, estimating software, or scheduling tools preferred.
Experience with relevant commercial construction projects, Los Angeles construction markets, or subcontractor change-order documentation preferred.
