Description

  • Set experiential direction and provide strategic guidance from ambiguous brief through final delivery.
  • Define and champion principles for human-centered products and ensure teams execute against them.
  • Oversee complex, large-scale engagements as a hands-on leader with strong attention to detail.
  • Distill user research, business strategy, technical constraints, and stakeholder feedback into clear design direction.
  • Develop product visions, feature sets, and roadmaps and communicate them through strategic narratives.
  • Build scalable design systems that support consistent, accessible experiences for global audiences.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and strategy teams to align on experiential approaches.
  • Mentor, manage, and grow UX designers.
  • Improve design processes and define how AI tools are used in the team’s workflow.
  • Lead client presentations, workshops, and working sessions and build trusted client relationships.
  • Own the end-to-end process from early client conversations through delivery and ongoing partnership.
  • Identify emerging shifts in tools, technology, and practice and translate them into changes in how the team works.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States or Canada.
  • Fully remote role.
  • Portfolio demonstrating digital product, service, or systems design work across a range of industries and contexts.
  • 10+ years of experience in the design industry.
  • Experience leading teams to create human-centered digital experiences at scale.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire designers.
  • Strong thought leadership and strategic thinking with a well-articulated point of view.
  • Ability to self-direct and independently drive UX vision from strategy through shipped experience.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered design tools and curiosity about the craft.
  • Strong design aesthetic sensibilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive, accessible, and equitable design practices.
