Description

  • Support delivery of legal services for large global clients while meeting client commitments and compliance requirements.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including IP/IT, software development, staffing, licensing, and services agreements.
  • Own complex negotiations and provide oversight and quality control for junior team members.
  • Train, coach, and develop junior team members to become effective negotiators.
  • Adhere to delivery processes and continuously improve client negotiation procedures and relationships.
  • Input and maintain data in Factor and client systems.
  • Help develop contract templates, playbooks, and other team tools.
  • Stay current on legal and other relevant developments.
  • Serve as a senior advisor and escalation point for client issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Law degree and/or legal qualification.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country where the role is based.
  • 4+ years of experience independently drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a law firm, in-house legal team, or similar environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience working directly with business managers.
  • Ability to operate with substantial latitude and minimal supervision.
  • Very strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Very strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with client relationship management.
  • Experience using a recognized matter management system in daily work.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience with junior team members.
  • Ability to act as a senior advisor and escalation point on legal issues.
  • Preferred: background in financial regulations, corporate restructuring, commercial, or financial services contract negotiation.
