Description

  • Support project management and execution for MLE Strategy activities across Africa Safe Water programs.
  • Develop work plans, track milestones, and document findings to ensure consistency across geographies.
  • Design and execute pilots to test MLE redesign approaches with regional and strategy team members.
  • Track, analyze, and synthesize pilot learnings to inform broader integration decisions.
  • Support the integration of successful redesign approaches into standard MLE practice across Africa Safe Water programs.
  • Coordinate with regional MLE, program, and country teams to align priorities and maintain quality across MLE activities.
  • Support data quality and assurance processes, flagging issues and helping resolve them.
  • Implement redesigned operational monitoring for DSW waterpoint and dispenser checks across the scale-up footprint.
  • Support wrap-up and implementation of the ILC waterpoint monitoring pilot and redesigned monitoring approach.
  • Develop a data structure map for East and Southern Africa safe water programs to improve data flow within existing systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience developing M&E frameworks and plans.
  • Experience conducting implementation research and designing M&E activities, including sampling design, survey protocols, and data collection tools.
  • Some experience in WASH or water program monitoring and evaluation is preferred.
  • Experience developing or piloting new approaches from scratch and contributing to iterative redesign processes.
  • Data analysis experience, including exploratory analysis and working with incomplete information.
  • Ability to manage complex, interdependent work plans and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong prioritization and adaptation skills in a dynamic project environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to work variable hours to overlap with colleagues across time zones.
  • Must be based within the United States and available to coordinate during agreed-upon windows with global and country teams.
