Description

Administer, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Oracle database environments.
Create, configure, and manage standalone Oracle databases and Oracle Grid environments.
Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and point-in-time recovery using Oracle RMAN.
Perform database installations, upgrades, maintenance, patching, and scheduled after-hours support.
Maintain high-availability and disaster-recovery capabilities.
Diagnose database, server, application integration, and performance issues.
Perform advanced SQL and database performance tuning, including optimizer and storage troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, automation, and operational standards.
Monitor database health, capacity, performance, security, and alerting systems.
Respond to incidents, service requests, and change requests; lead complex incident response and root-cause analysis.
Document configuration changes, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support activities.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technical teams and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in database administration or related disciplines.
Advanced hands-on Oracle database administration experience in enterprise production environments.
Experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, PL/SQL, backup and recovery, patching, and maintenance.
Experience supporting high availability, disaster recovery, database monitoring, alerting, security, and auditing.
Experience with database performance tuning, incident troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Current or previous Oracle professional certification preferred.
Experience supporting federal government IT environments preferred.
Experience with OCI or other cloud-hosted databases, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, or Idera preferred.
Exposure to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or MS Access preferred.
Ability to participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance; position is contingent upon contract award.
