Description

  • Strengthen and extend the automated regression framework and define a path to improve its reliability.
  • Push testing left by adding unit and integration coverage for defects found in nightly regression runs.
  • Build and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across Python, C# APIs, SQL, and MongoDB.
  • Create golden-master and tolerance-based tests to validate financial calculations and numerical accuracy.
  • Own CI/CD quality gates, including merge, release, and flaky test quarantine decisions.
  • Develop performance regression coverage for calculation-heavy paths.
  • Monitor Azure alerts, logs, and traces and investigate escaped defects from production support tickets.
  • Document, execute, and improve functional and regression tests for both the BASIS desktop client and the web-based experience.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude Code to expand coverage, generate scaffolding, and improve QA workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to refine requirements, review test code, and manage story and bug tickets through closure.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software quality assurance experience.
  • Strong coding skills in Python.
  • Experience designing automated test frameworks.
  • Proven experience testing RESTful web services and web applications in a cloud environment, preferably Azure.
  • Comfort working across unit, integration, and end-to-end test layers.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or similar.
  • Awareness of security and compliance considerations in financial software.
  • Ability to measure quality metrics such as escape rate, flake rate, and coverage trends.
  • Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver, Postman, or equivalent tools; BDD/Gherkin/Cucumber is a plus.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI-assisted development tools and experience or interest in applying them to QA work.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to challenge assumptions with developers and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Intermediate high level of English.
  • Experience modernizing or evolving an existing automated test framework is a plus.
  • Experience with Playwright or modern web E2E tooling is a plus.
  • Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact is a plus.
  • Experience testing calculation engines, pricing engines, or risk models is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the business model of a community bank or credit union is a plus.
  • Financial solutions or financial analysis background is a plus.
  • Experience with Claude Code, Copilot, or similar AI development tools applied to testing is a plus.
