Description

  • Lead SEO and GEO content strategy across medium and large client accounts.
  • Use keyword and prompt research, citation analysis, audience insights, and competitive data to improve visibility and authority.
  • Develop content strategies, roadmaps, briefs, outlines, and recommendations; write, edit, optimize, and quality-check content.
  • Apply AI tools to research, drafting, editing, and quality assurance while maintaining human oversight.
  • Manage and mentor content strategists and improve editorial frameworks, workflows, templates, and standards.
  • Collaborate with SEO, analytics, design, development, digital PR, paid media, project management, and account teams.
  • Identify account risks, performance opportunities, expansion opportunities, and new-business contributions.
  • Advise clients and internal teams on changes in search, AI platforms, content discovery, and audience behavior.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in content strategy, SEO, digital content, editorial strategy, or a related field.
  • Experience leading complex content programs across multiple medium to large accounts, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Expertise connecting search demand, audience needs, brand positioning, and business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including search intent, keyword research, content architecture, internal linking, on-page optimization, and performance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of GEO, generative search platforms, AI citations, prompt tracking, and answer visibility.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or developing content strategists, writers, and editors.
  • Strong executive communication, editorial judgment, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience assessing account performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and guiding strategic responses.
  • Experience collaborating across SEO, analytics, account management, project management, design, development, and digital PR.
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting account growth, scopes, pitches, or new-business development.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity as search platforms, AI tools, and measurement standards evolve.
  • Availability for a short-term engagement of 30 hours per week for 2–3 months.
