Description

  • Deliver automated UI and API test scripts and maintain existing automation assets.
  • Fix flaky tests and perform maintenance tasks aligned with project standards.
  • Write clean, maintainable automation code using established best practices such as DRY, Page Object Models, and linting.
  • Validate automation locally and ensure scripts run reliably before peer review.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, grooming sessions, and retrospectives.
  • Provide updates on automation progress, coverage gaps, and blockers.
  • Take part in code reviews and provide initial feedback on peers’ pull requests.
  • Contribute to technical testing documentation and setup/readme materials.
  • Learn and apply the automation tools, programming languages, and CI/CD processes used by the team.
  • Follow Git workflows, CI/CD execution processes, and team communication protocols such as Slack and Jira.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in a QA Automation Engineer or SDET role.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with Git, execution environments, and basic CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
  • Experience with at least one automation framework such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
  • Solid written and verbal English proficiency for client-facing collaboration.
  • Programming language experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
  • API testing experience, preferably with Postman.
  • Basic to mid-level SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with automation tools and test execution tools used in a POD is preferred.
