Description

  • Design, build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume data in MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Architect ingestion, metadata, chunking, and embedding pipelines for RAG platforms and automated detection systems.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate code development, data modeling, and dataset design.
  • Orchestrate and monitor workflows with Airflow, Azure Data Factory, and SQL Agent while enforcing data quality checks.
  • Tune SQL queries and optimize dimensional models, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and IT Operations to resolve production issues and enforce governance.
  • Maintain Git/Bitbucket and Jira delivery standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional data engineering experience supporting production-grade, high-volume pipelines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, including pandas, and SQL with complex CTEs, window functions, and query tuning.
  • Deep experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on workflow orchestration experience with Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or SQL Agent.
  • Cloud experience, preferably with Azure.
  • Understanding of dimensional modeling, lakehouse structures, embeddings, document ingestion, and vector search.
  • Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jira, and CI/CD practices.
  • Docker or containerization experience is preferred.
  • Fluent written and verbal English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Availability to overlap with U.S. Central business hours.
