Description

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of AI applications on Databricks Apps, from architecture through production maintenance.
  • Design serverless-first solutions using Databricks Apps and its built-in security, compliance, and resource management.
  • Develop and manage AI agents, including RAG solutions, through creation, deployment, testing, and monitoring.
  • Establish data governance with Unity Catalog, including access control, lineage, and security.
  • Integrate applications with Databricks SQL for scalable data querying.
  • Implement OAuth and platform-native identity and authorization patterns.
  • Configure and optimize Model Serving and serving endpoints for ML models and LLM agents.
  • Collaborate with data, security, application, and business teams to deliver governed solutions.
  • Define Databricks AI application architecture standards, reference patterns, and best practices.
  • Lead technical delivery, mentor engineering teams, and communicate with technical and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong Python proficiency for application, agent, and pipeline development.
  • Experience with Databricks SQL, Jobs, workflow orchestration, Model Serving, and serving endpoints.
  • Experience implementing OAuth/IAM authentication and authorization flows.
  • Knowledge of RAG architectures and AI agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
  • Experience with MLflow for logging, testing, debugging, and monitoring models and agents.
  • Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Streamlit, Dash, or Gradio; front-end experience with React or comparable JavaScript frameworks.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure networking, security, and compliance fundamentals.
  • Strong architectural judgment balancing scalability, security, governance, and cost.
  • Prior experience delivering enterprise chatbots or conversational AI solutions (preferred).
  • Relevant Databricks or Azure certifications, and familiarity with production AI patterns such as token streaming and request logging (preferred).
