Description

  • Design, build, and maintain dbt data models as trusted sources of truth.
  • Write optimized, well-tested SQL for core data transformations.
  • Develop deep knowledge of property management, accounting, and operational data sources.
  • Build dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate vague questions into concrete, data-backed answers.
  • Write and run Python scripts to automate workflows, move data, and reduce manual work.
  • Use Git, GitHub, code review, CI/CD, documentation, and data quality testing in day-to-day development.
  • Monitor data quality proactively and resolve issues before they affect the business.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in SQL, including complex transformations, window functions, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Comfort with Python for scripting and automation, including writing, running, and debugging tools.
  • Fluency with Git, GitHub, CI/CD, and modern development workflows such as branches, pull requests, and code review.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Strong written and spoken English; comfortable working asynchronously with a US-based team.
  • Experience with dbt and the modern data stack, such as Databricks, Snowflake, Fivetran, Airflow, or Dagster (preferred).
  • Experience in finance or real estate, with comfort around financial statements, terms, and metrics (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi data or other real estate platform data (bonus).
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Availability to work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Pacific Time (PST).
