Description

  • Own product UI/UX across client apps from discovery through engineering handoff.
  • Lead client-facing design reviews, workshops, and asynchronous critiques during US business hours.
  • Translate ambiguous briefs into user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.
  • Build and maintain reusable design systems and component libraries.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers on scope, edge cases, accessibility, errors, and platform conventions.
  • Create organized, implementation-ready Figma files with components, variants, auto-layout, tokens, specifications, and exportable assets.
  • Use AI design and research tools to accelerate exploration while reviewing outputs for quality and accuracy.
  • Identify design risks, unclear requirements, unrealistic timelines, and conflicts with technical or platform constraints.

Requirements

  • 4+ years designing and shipping production mobile and/or web products.
  • Portfolio featuring full case studies covering problems, constraints, decisions, and shipped outcomes.
  • Experience leading client or founder-facing calls and communicating design decisions constructively; agency or consultancy experience preferred.
  • Advanced Figma skills, including components, variants, auto-layout, variables or tokens, prototyping, shared libraries, and organized file structures.
  • Systems-thinking approach to reusable patterns, states, and edge cases.
  • Understanding of iOS, Android, and responsive web design conventions.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Figma AI, Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, or similar.
  • C1-level or higher English proficiency for client communication and written feedback.
  • Availability to overlap with US hours through approximately 5 PM EST.
  • Strong ownership, estimation, communication, and follow-through habits.
