Description

  • Lead the design and ongoing ownership of the Azure platform foundation for the program.
  • Establish and manage separate development, test, and production environments.
  • Define secure networking, identity, and role-based access boundaries across the platform.
  • Configure VNETs, NSGs, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity such as VPN or ExpressRoute.
  • Establish standardized patterns for App Services, Azure SQL, storage, and shared services.
  • Design and maintain standardized CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Develop reusable pipeline templates, release patterns, approval gates, rollback strategies, and deployment controls.
  • Ensure all infrastructure is provisioned and managed through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement centralized logging, monitoring, retention policies, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and Key Vault controls.
  • Support production deployments, troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline issues, maintain runbooks, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on Azure experience in regulated or audit-sensitive environments.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline design.
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise-scale Infrastructure-as-Code programs using Terraform.
  • Experience governing and enforcing IaC-only deployment standards.
  • Experience embedding compliance and security controls into cloud platforms.
  • Working knowledge of FedRAMP Moderate or a comparable compliance framework.
  • Preferred: experience supporting municipal or public sector programs.
  • Preferred: experience leading on-premises to Azure migrations.
  • Preferred: Azure certifications such as Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Architect.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
  • Ability to work an 8:30am–5:30pm EST Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Infrequent travel to client sites may be required.
  • Contractor may be hired as W2 through a Partner agency.
  • Contract is expected to be approximately 6 months.
