Description

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development to quality-check and endorse scientific communication platforms, lexicons, disease-state education materials, program slides, data and publication updates, and congress materials.
  • Serve as a scientific lead by providing editorial, scientific, and strategic guidance on assigned projects.
  • Lead data analysis and interpretation of clinical trial results, including sub-analyses and post hoc analyses, to support presentations and publications.
  • Develop and implement strategic publication plans with cross-functional teams, internal authors, R&D clinical leads, and statisticians.
  • Provide medical writing review and support for scientific communications and medical affairs materials, and manage external vendors.
  • Review, prepare, and deliver publications, presentations, and abstracts while ensuring accuracy and consistency of project content.
  • Represent the team at conferences, scientific sessions, and booth activities, and serve as a scientific expert for KOLs and healthcare professionals.
  • Support innovative communication formats such as interactive PDFs, infographics, podcasts, and digital media.
  • Facilitate dissemination discussions for published data and contribute to strategic scientific communications plans.
  • Lead projects and deliver documents within process and timeline constraints.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree required, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of publication experience preferred.
  • Ophthalmology or gene therapy experience highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting clinical and scientific information.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build productive collaborations with medical experts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and associated hardware.
  • Must be willing to travel to company meetings and medical congresses.
  • Strong organization, time management, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
