Description

  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write code and implement proposed data engineering solutions.
  • Perform debugging and root cause analysis for data issues and pipeline failures.
  • Create data pipelines with versioning and change management controls.
  • Develop ETL and ELT processes to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.
  • Design, build, and maintain batch and real-time production data pipelines.
  • Automate data workflows for ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance through quality controls.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Oracle Database, stored procedures, SQL optimization, and data analysis.
  • Advanced Oracle SQL skills with experience in relational databases and database design.
  • Strong Python skills with hands-on experience using Pandas, NumPy, and related libraries.
  • Experience with cloud-based data lakehouse and ETL platforms such as Databricks.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight.
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience working with data lakes and data warehouse solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data engineering services (preferred).
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, or Hive (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue ETL, Athena, RDS, Redshift, EC2, and IAM (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Azure services such as ADF, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL DB (preferred).
