Description

  • Communicate project status, recommendations, and progress to client stakeholders.
  • Build efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, high-quality client code.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery activities using team methods and tools.
  • Gather requirements and present developed features to clients.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and refine solutions.
  • Work within agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and governance activities.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the Engineering Practice community and Communities of Practice.
  • Drive delivery independently from conceptualization through deployment within the defined architecture.
  • Support client success by anticipating issues and iterating on solutions.
  • Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in backend engineering or related areas.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services, especially Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and/or RDS.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, including abstraction and encapsulation.
  • High-level design experience using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.
  • Experience building well-tested, scalable, performant enterprise-level systems.
  • Understanding of SOLID principles and OWASP.
  • Proficiency in English and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers and working across multi-discipline teams.
  • Preferred experience with modern frontend build tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Preferred experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, ORM tools, and AWS services such as S3.
  • Preferred knowledge of frontend technologies including JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
  • Preferred familiarity with Claude AI/GPT tools and GitHub.

Benefits

  • 6-month engagement duration.
  • Work schedule starting at 2 PM IST, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
