Description

  • Analyze CAD models, technical drawings, and 3D/2D files for quoting and manufacturability.
  • Calculate manufacturing costs, including materials, machining hours, and post-processing.
  • Provide recommendations on manufacturing processes and DFM considerations.
  • Document calculations and transfer technical information to the Sales and Commercial teams.
  • Organize RFQs and clarify technical details with Sales and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Maintain quote databases and keep records updated in a timely manner.
  • Deliver accurate quotes quickly, ideally within 1–2 working hours.
  • Support process automation initiatives and workflow optimization.

Requirements

  • Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of experience in metalworking or mechanical engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of machining and fabrication processes, including turning, milling, CNC machining, EDM, laser/waterjet/plasma cutting, sheet metal processing, and welding.
  • Understanding of post-processing methods such as polishing, hardening, heat treatment, anodizing, sand/shot blasting, coatings, and painting.
  • Knowledge of metals, plastics, and composites and how they are processed.
  • English proficiency at B2+ level.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to explain technical details clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
  • Comfort with modern tools and software such as CAD/CAM, CRM, and cloud systems.
  • Technical drawing interpretation proficiency at 5/5.
  • Tooling and fixture design for machining, assembly, and welding proficiency at 3/5.
  • Manufacturing processes expertise, including laser/waterjet cutting, turning, milling, grinding, EDM, and sheet metal fabrication, at 5/5.
  • Coatings and heat treatment proficiency at 3/5.
  • Labor intensity and manufacturability assessment proficiency at 5/5.
  • CAM programming for CNC using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CypCut at 3/5, with willingness to continue training.
  • Resume must be submitted in English.
  • Ability to work full-time in a remote/home office setup aligned with US Eastern Time.
  • Stable high-speed internet and a comfortable workspace are required.
