Description

  • Evaluate the aesthetic quality, readability, and overall polish of digital map designs.
  • Assess viewport framing, geospatial accuracy, and content relevance from a user-focused perspective.
  • Review personalized location recommendations to determine whether they are relevant and helpful.
  • Follow detailed project instructions and complete evaluation tasks accurately.
  • Tag specific issues identified in map designs, such as improperly masked icons or text that is too small.
  • Work efficiently to meet quick turnaround timelines of 48 hours to 5 business days.
  • Apply strict evaluation criteria consistently, including identifying Trust & Safety violations.

Requirements

  • Proficient in English (US) and based in the United States.
  • Professional background in Visual Design, UI/UX, or Graphic Design.
  • Must be an iPhone/iOS user, since the project focuses on the mobile experience.
  • Have an existing, actively used Gmail account with prior usage history on Google Maps.
  • Familiarity with geospatial tools or evaluation interfaces such as Tileworks or side-by-side interfaces is a plus.
  • Exceptional ability to follow strict instructions and identify Trust & Safety violations.
  • Willing to provide opt-in consent for limited activity history access for task personalization.
  • Able to participate in a single project round and potentially future opportunities based on performance.
