Description

  • Plan, manage, and execute linguistic and functional localization QA across digital media platforms, streaming UI, metadata, and promotional content.
  • Develop, maintain, and scale QA test plans, test cases, and test runs.
  • Write clear, actionable bug reports for client engineering teams.
  • Partner with external testing vendors, in-country language reviewers, and localization PMs to deliver high-quality QA coverage on time.
  • Collaborate with client-side engineers, product owners, content designers, and regional market experts.
  • Gather and synthesize market-specific feedback on linguistic and cultural nuances.
  • Identify localization bug patterns, analyze systemic issues, and propose workflow improvements for translation memories, style guides, and glossaries.
  • Oversee testing coverage across iOS, Android, web, smart TVs, streaming devices, and OTT platforms.
  • Advocate for culturally relevant content and inclusive user experiences in localized products.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in localization QA, linguistic testing, internationalization (i18n), or global release validation.
  • Experience in a fast-paced digital media, streaming, or consumer technology environment is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of functional QA methodologies, test plan execution, regression testing, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience coordinating or managing linguistic quality assurance reviews across multiple international markets and languages.
  • Strong understanding of cultural sensitivities, regional regulatory nuances, local adaptation best practices, and inclusive language guidelines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to linguistic precision and visual/UI issues.
  • Professional fluency in English plus at least one additional language.
  • Ability to evaluate, score, and benchmark translation quality across global markets.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, TestRail, XBench, BrowserStack, and translation management systems (TMS).
  • Working knowledge of internationalization (i18n), string extraction pipelines, localized file formats such as JSON, XML, and strings, and translation memory tools.
  • Background in localization for high-growth consumer technology, media streaming (SVOD/AVOD), or interactive digital content platforms is preferred.
