Description

  • Validate language codes in HTML and PDF metadata and identify mixed-language content missing proper declarations.
  • Test translated content with native-language screen readers to assess hidden elements, tooltips, error messages, alt text, and UI labels.
  • Review captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions for accuracy, synchronization, and clarity.
  • Verify that multimedia controls are properly labeled in Dutch.
  • Document defects in a structured log with WCAG/PDF-UA references, screenshots or recordings, and severity classifications.
  • Participate in review calls with the QA Lead as needed.
  • Work from project-based scope documents, test checklists, and access credentials to complete each assignment.
  • Flag unclear checklist items or findings that fall outside the defined scope.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in Dutch.
  • Hands-on experience testing digital content with assistive technology.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA and EN 301 549.
  • Ability to evaluate content from a native-speaker accessibility perspective and assess real-world usability for screen reader users.
  • Reliable access to relevant devices and operating systems for target-locale testing.
  • Strong written communication skills in English for defect reporting and general communications (preferred).
  • Experience with PDF accessibility testing using PAC 3 or Adobe Acrobat Pro Accessibility Checker (preferred).
  • Familiarity with internationalization, localization, and translation workflows (preferred).
  • Personal use of assistive technology (preferred).
  • Certification such as CPACC, WAS, DHS Trusted Tester, or equivalent (requested for application).
