Description

  • Review assigned PDF pages for Bengali language, legibility, meaningful content, and absence of personal information.
  • Identify, bound, classify, and order every meaningful page region, including text, tables, figures, diagrams, formulas, and form fields.
  • Record parent-child relationships between regions and their associated figures or tables.
  • Transcribe all visible text exactly in Bengali script, including handwritten content, and flag illegible regions.
  • Capture metadata such as language, document type, source, page dimensions, tables, formulas, and handwriting.
  • Review other annotators’ work end to end as a second Bengali-language expert.

Requirements

  • Native-level Bengali fluency with complete command of Bengali script, diacritics, conjunct forms, and orthography.
  • Experience with document annotation, transcription, translation, localization, subtitling, proofreading, journalism, or regional-language data review.
  • Character-level accuracy and careful attention to diacritics and source fidelity.
  • Ability to apply a consistent annotation taxonomy across hundreds of pages.
  • Comfort working with multi-column newspapers, examination papers, handwritten forms, and other unfamiliar layouts.
  • Experience with regional-language AI data annotation, labeling, grading, or bilingual evaluation preferred.
  • Experience with MTPE, subtitling, bilingual QA, OCR correction, or post-editing preferred.
  • Knowledge of Bengali typesetting, copy-editing, digitization, Unicode normalization, input methods, or character accuracy preferred.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $12.68 per hour
